Gina Ponce was Born in New York City and is the daughter of two parents who were from Puerto Rico. Gina has been in Omaha Nebraska for over 22 years and serving the Latino community for the same amount of time. Gina has an Associates Degree in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources and a Masters in Communication.
Gina has always prided herself to serving those who have need in so many ways. She is currently the Director of Latino Community Outreach at Bellevue University. Prior to this position Gina worked at the Salvation Army Kroc Center as the Education and Arts Director. Gina is the President of Women on a Mission for Change, a non-profit serving women and girls in the area of Leadership.
Gina currently serves on the Kids Can Board, South Omaha Community Council board, the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board. Gina is just graduated from LeadDiversity program through Inclusive Communities and will assist organizations in the areas of Diversity and Inclusion.
Gina has received the Ethical Leadership Award, Women of Color Leadership Award, Latina of the year award, Tribute to Women Award and many others.
Gina and ha two sons and one granddaughter.
